The Taco 2400 Series Pump is a High Capacity Circulator Pump. These pumps are designed with a less noisy operation. The Taco 2400-70S is a Stainless Steel 1/2 HP Pump that has a maintenance free motor, close coupled and sealed for life bearings. Some of the features of the Taco 2400-70S Stainless Steel 1/2 HP Circulator Pump is that it has a super efficiency with a high starting torque. The mechanical seals are Carbon/Silicon-Carbide, which offers a longer life. The pump has universal flange-to-flange dimensions that make this pump great for retrofits. The pump has a Dual Electrical Knock Outs and a Dual Pressure Taps with Suction and Discharge. Some of the other common applications that the 2400-70S can be used for are in floor radiant heating, snow melting, chilled water cooling, geothermal heat pumps and high pressure drop boilers to name a few.
The pump and motor are made from high quality material, the Casing is made from Stainless Steel and the Seal Face Plate is also made from Stainless Steel. The Motor Housing is made from Aluminum and the Impeller is made from 30% Glass Filled Noryl and the Impeller Insert is made from Stainless Steel. The O Ring and Gaskets are EPDM. The performance of the pump is Flow Range is 0 to 147 Gallons per Minute, Head Range of 0 to 51 feet.
The minimum Fluid Temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum Fluid Temperature of 225 Degrees Fahrenheit with a working pressure of 150 psi. The electrical requirements are 60 Hz, single phase with 115/230 volts and 4.9/2.4 amps. The horsepower is ½ and the rotations per minute or RPM is 3450. The motor is categorized as an Open Drip Proof, Permanent Split Capacitor Thermally Protected.
